Emotional Wellness

In the last few months it seems I have been inundated with several situations in which my emotional well-being has been adversely affected. As human beings we have many aspects which encompasses our wholeness. Physical, Spiritual, Emotional/Mental. When one area suffers, the others are indirectly affected as well.

Because we are all diverse and come from different backgrounds and experiences, we all handle situations in different ways. What might affect one person in a negative way may not even bother another person in the slightest. However, we all can be hurt and pain is pain at any level.

So, what "TOOLS" can we use to restore the balance?

First, remember you are not alone. Connect with people around you who encourage you
and will validate your discomfort without coming to your pity party if you are having one.

Second, take inventory and gain perspective. What can you learn from this? Is there a silver lining?
Whatever the circumstance, it is probably not going to last forever. How much time are you going to spend on it?

Thirdly, take the time to do something kind for someone else. When things are out of balance, helping someone else tends to help you view your situation differently.

Fourthly, make things right when you can. Forgiveness, is one of the most powerful "TOOLS" we can use to restore balance.

Most of all, take care of yourself because you are here for a purpose!

Until next time,

Stacey Prinzing
